As a healthcare organization operating under HIPAA guidelines, Good Medics may collect, use, or disclose your PHI only in accordance with federal law. This includes your medical history, symptoms, diagnoses, medications, insurance information, communications with providers, and information collected from you via intake forms, video consultations, lab results, or prescriptions. Our clinical services may include but are not limited to: testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), weight loss treatments (e.g., semaglutide, tirzepatide), erectile dysfunction therapies (e.g., sildenafil, tadalafil), hair loss treatments (e.g., finasteride, minoxidil), and general telehealth consultations.
Good Medics may use or disclose your PHI for treatment, payment, or healthcare operations. This includes sharing information with your assigned medical provider, pharmacy partners, diagnostic labs, or third-party vendors that support our platform. All third-party vendors are contractually required to protect your information in accordance with HIPAA’s Privacy and Security Rules.
We do not sell your information. We only share your PHI when it is necessary to deliver care, coordinate prescriptions, fulfill regulatory or legal requirements, conduct internal audits, or improve service delivery.
Your PHI may be used to contact you about your treatment, medication shipments, lab testing, billing matters, appointment reminders, or product refill options. We may send this information via phone, SMS, email, or in-app notifications, and you may opt out of marketing communications at any time. However, you cannot opt out of essential medical or legal notifications without discontinuing the Service entirely.
Your health information may also be shared through secure, encrypted systems known as Health Information Exchanges (HIEs), which facilitate coordinated care across systems. Participation in HIEs is voluntary, and you may opt out by contacting us at privacy@thegoodmedics.com.
We store all PHI using encrypted systems and restrict access to authorized personnel only. We follow the HIPAA Security Rule’s administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to prevent unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of your data.
You have the right to request a copy of your health information, request corrections to your record, request restrictions on disclosures, or request an accounting of disclosures. You also have the right to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services if you believe your privacy rights have been violated. We will not retaliate against you for filing a complaint.
If you are a parent, guardian, or legal representative using the Service on behalf of a minor or dependent adult, you may access their PHI within the boundaries of state and federal law. You are also bound by the same rights and responsibilities as outlined in this policy.
